• Graduated summa cum laude in 2007 with a B.A. in English at Tarleton State University, Stephenville, TX. My degree emphasis was in technical writing. My GPA was 4.0.
• Tutored homeschooled students of varied ages in English for several years.
• Teach week-long seminars on Excellence in Communications with a national homeschool program.
• Was myself homeschooled, so I understand the unique challenges and joys of homeschooling.
• Served as a co-editor for Tarleton State University's Anthology, a collection of students' creative work.
• Have published numerous articles and short stories for various publications.
• Have had additional training outside of my degree program in writing children's literature, photography, desktop publishing, and an intensive writing workshop, all of which have helped to not only strengthen my writing skills, but also my knowledge on how to recognize good writing and communication.
• Coauthored a published homeschool curriculum course entitled Far Above Rubies for children with a major homeschool program
